Steve Lay is a 30 year plus veteran of the real estate industry who originally started his journey with Century21 Bayswater back in 1992.
Branching out into his own real estate business (Steve Lay Real Estate) in early 2002 in Bayswater was an obvious step to allowing Steve to implement an even more personalised service for past, present and future clients.
In lieu of Steve Lay Real Estate “Lay2 Real Estate” was established 2016 where more of the Lay family members became involved in the business of selling and property management. All assisting in strengthening the clear vision of helping sellers and owners’ of property achieve the best possible real estate outcomes.
Steve is a big believer in the Bayswater community and continues to support the local community in various ways. Lay2 is a major sponsor of the Bayswater Junior Football club, other sports teams and associations in Bayswater.

Meet Laura
Laura McGrath is dedicated to making every client’s property journey smooth, informed, and rewarding. She began at Lay2 in early 2025 in sales administration and marketing, assisting with property sales and gaining hands-on experience across the full sales process, before earning her Sales Representative Licence in September 2025.
Laura’s experience extends internationally. While working in the UK, she specialised in property lettings and investments, handling marketing, viewings, styling, and photography to maximise tenant interest. She also assisted clients in identifying investment properties.
Combining her practical experience with a background in accounting, property investment, and development in both Australia and the UK, Laura provides clear, strategic guidance to clients looking to sell. She helps sellers understand their property’s true value, assess market conditions, and position their home to attract the right buyers and achieve the best possible result.
Laura prioritises personalised support, honest advice, and clear communication at every stage of the selling process. Her goal is to guide clients confidently through the market, making the experience straightforward, rewarding, and successful.
